Frontier Veterinary Urgent Care is looking for an experienced Practice Manager to join our team!

Frontier Veterinary Urgent Care is a privately-owned small animal urgent care veterinary hospital located in Greenfield, Wisconsin. Since opening our doors in 2022, we have grown and are seeking a full- time Practice Manager to join our team and help us reach the next level! We are seeking a Veterinary Practice Manager (PM) who aligns with our core values and has excellent communication, multi-tasking and organizational skills. Team building & development, attention to detail and follow-through will be a key to success in this role. The PM plays a principal role in the Leadership Team and will work closely with the practice owners, an HR manager, a technical supervisor, DVMs and a large support staff while providing general management, oversight, and vision for hospital operations. We are a member of VMG (Veterinary Management Group) and are dedicated to developing the best practices in our hospital management.

Key responsibilities of the Practice Manager:

Operational Leadership: Oversees daily operations, ensuring seamless scheduling and communication among the team. Commitment to excellent patient care and outstanding client service. Develops and implements policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and service quality. Understands and ensures compliance with OSHA, DEA and FDA, and applicable state and local agencies. Develops and communicates protocols for safety and facility maintenance. Directly oversees Client Service Representatives. Equipment maintenance and repairs. Human Resources: Works with our HR manager to maximize recruitment, retention, and continuous development of our talented team. Listens to the team and maintains a vibrant, cohesive, inclusive workplace culture. Assists in the development of training programs and performance reviews.

Financial Oversight: Collaborates with our CPAs and is primarily responsible for financial management, billing, and vendor relations. Monitors financial statements and assesses key performance indicators to support strategic decision-making. Manages payroll, inventory, ordering and invoicing. Sets goals for hospital performance based on previous performance and mission/vision; designs strategies for meeting these goals.

Community and Culture: Champions initiatives to bolster team cohesion, resolve conflicts, and promote a positive work environment. Aligns staff with the Hospital’s core values and objectives, fostering a sense of belonging and purpose. Engages with the team to positively influence the culture, assess & develop employee engagement, and maintain/improve retention.

Marketing: Initiates new programs and markets services through public relations campaigns. Understands our local and regional competitive advantages and assesses advertising effectiveness. Works with website & social media to keep them updated and captivating.

Candidates must possess >3 years of leadership and veterinary management experience (Required). Certification as a CVT (Certified Veterinary Technician) and CVPM (Certified Veterinary Practice Manager) is highly desirable.
